The mid-century office in SOMA
For Raoul, based in SF
It had been 9 months since Raoul moved into his new place in SOMA, but for years he had plans to re-do his office space. Hearing about us on LinkedIn was the spark that he needed, and right from the 15 minute intro call, you could tell he was really excited about this project.
The office was already more than functional, with a desk, a dresser and shelving. Our first addition was a Paul Cadovius wall-to-wall bookshelf ($6k), which immediately transformed the space, providing a sophisticated backdrop for Zoom calls. With a few plants and vases ($400), the back wall completely came to life. The desk he already owned - a beautiful mid-century piece with a walnut finish - only needed a few adjustments. We rearranged some of the drawers and added a ceramic bowl ($150) and Etsy plants ($60) to showcase its elegance.
The only thing left was a lounge chair for the corner and an office chair. We fetched a second-hand HM Aeron ($400) from a local dealer in SF, and bought a beautiful ivory lounge chair ($600) from West Elm.
Now, the office is completely transformed, and Raoul couldn’t be happier with the result.
